Our SalonManager system allows photographic clubs or groups to run their competitions (or "salons") online. Photographers can register for a salon, pay for their entry, and upload their photos using this system.They can also check back later to view the salon results.The salon organisers can set up the categories, prices, start and end dates of the competition, and download the submissions for offline judging anywhere in the world. This means that both entrants and judges can be remote from the organising club. The beauty of this system is the amount of work it saves! Filenames are automatically generated, photo formats and sizes are checked, entrants can be easily contacted. There is less error-correction and less admin for the organisers to do - and the entrant can make use of the system at whatever time suits him, and add/change photos until the closing date! Everyone wins.
The internet allows us to do many things more quickly and easily than before. Running an election is one of them. This system allows for 2 phases - nomination of candidates for a ballot, and the voting process itself. The system removes the neccesity for the heavy administrative task of running an offline election - ballot papers, spoiled votes, faxes to be tallied, and so on. Results are easily shown, and full voting data can be downloaded for auditing purposes.
